UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS RULES

Candidates who have obtained at least 35% of marks in each subject shall be eligible for a pass or exemption in that subject.
  • The results of the First/Second year degree examina­tions shall be declared and classified separately as follows
  • First Class: Those who obtain 60% and above of the total marks of Parts - 1 & II
  • Second Class: Those who obtain 50% and above but less than 60% of the total marks of Parts I & II
  • Pass Class: Rest of the successful candidates who se­cure 35% and above but less than 50% of marks in Part I & II.

  • The results of the Third year examinations shall be de­clared and classified as follows:
    First Class: Those who obtain 60% and above in the .aggregate.

    Second Class: Those who obtain 50% and above but less than 60% in the aggregate.

    Pass Class: Rest of the successful candidates who se­cure 35% and above but less than 50% of marks in the aggregate.

  • The results of the degree course as a whole shall be declared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Optional Subjects of the First Year, Second Year and Third Year Degree course put together as follows:

    First Class: Those who obtain 60% and above of the aggregate marks in the Optional subjects of First Year, Second Year and Third Year degree Course

    Second Class: Those who obtain 50% and above but less than 60% of the aggregate marks in the Optional subjects of First Year, Second Year and Third Year de­gree Course

    Pass Class: Rest of successful candidates who obtain 35% and above but less than 50% of marks in the aggregate

    Class and Ranks shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Op­tional subjects of the First Year, Second Year and Third Year degree courses as a whole. However, only those candidates who have passed each annual public ex­amination in the First attempt only shall be eligible for the award of ranks. The first ten ranks shall be notified in each course.

    FOR THE PERUSAL OF GUARDIANS

  • Parents and Guardians will note from the general regula­tions that their wards who are admitted to this college are expected to maintain a high standard of good conduct.

  • It is understood that those who admit their wards to this college accept all the rules and regulations of the institution.

  • Parents and Guardians are advised to call on the Principal at least once a term to enquire about the conduct and progress of their ward

  • Parents and Guardians are requested to extend their support and co-operation to the management in all matters con­cerning the education and discipline of their wards.
